Prerequisites

  • Basic math skills: Understanding of basic arithmetic operations is essential for the calculation of deductions, credits, and income tax. This includes the four fundamental mathematical operations: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

  • English proficiency: As the course involves complex terminology and reading of tax forms and publications, a good command of the English language is necessary for comprehension and effective communication.

  • Computer literacy: Familiarity with using computers, basic software (like Microsoft Office), and the internet is important for accessing the course per se, and navigating the tax software.

  • No Prior Tax Knowledge Required: This course is designed for beginners, so no previous tax knowledge or experience is necessary.
